At Main Layer, we’re committed to and invested in sustainability because it’s a win all around – it’s good for the planet, for business, for our customers and for our communities. The company employs this policy to define the fundamental principles for its commitment to the well-being and sustainability goals. We are committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.

Climate Change

Climate change is affecting environmental health and the quality of air, food, and water in the communities where we live, work, and play. It’s our responsibility to support the capacity of environmental health. Therefore, we are committed to reducing carbon emissions and climate change impacts and promoting a high-quality, sustainable environment.

Key Principles

  • A society for our future — inspiring the next generation, investing in communities, developing sustainability knowledge and skills, and creating a healthy, safe, and secure workplace;
  • An environment with a future — supporting a low carbon economy, demonstrating respect for the environment through resource efficiency and pollution prevention, and protecting and improving ecosystems;
  • A responsible business of the future — influencing and supporting sustainable economic growth with strong governance, integrity, and accountability, while recognising the responsibility and importance of providing local services without compromising future generation’s business needs.

Although the managing director has ultimate responsibility for quality, all employees have a responsibility within their own areas of work to help ensure that quality is embedded throughout the whole company.
