The reversible impact searcher bar is also known as a bar hole or safe way plunger, and is used for making a hole in the ground. This takes place prior to taking a reading while locating gas leaks. Must-have equipment for Escape, Locate and Repair (ELR) engineers. The handle is insulated by means of a 1/4″ (6mm) thick rubber covering bonded to the tube. The reversible impact searcher bar spike is made from nickel, chrome, and molybdenum steel to give strength and durability.
